WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED
The telephone number to call if you need a doctor when the surgery is closed and before it re-opens is 0845 075 0497.
NHS Direct (0845 4647) is open 24 hours every day for advice from a nurse or information on opening times of pharmacists, mental health services, emergency dental service and where to get emergency contraception.
The Pharmacy First Scheme allows pharmacists to prescribe for a large number of common illnesses without the need to consult a doctor.
Emergency & Urgent Care Centres are located at:
King George Hospital - Barley Lane, Goodmayes, Essex IG3 8YB. Telephone: 0845 130 4204.
Whipps Cross University Hospital - Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone, London E11 1NR. Telephone: 020 8539 5522.
If you attend either of these centres during normal surgery hours you will be redirected back to the surgery.
CAR
PARKING AND DISABLED ACCESS
There is no general patient parking or waiting in the car park in front of the surgery. Our car park is too small to be used as a general car park for all our patients.
Considerable congestion arises, and we would urge you to use the public car parking
facilities at the James Hawkey Hall, in the 'Pay and Display' car park in The Castle, or in the adjacent unregulated side roads.
Our limited car parking
is exclusively reserved for those patients who are disabled and display a valid Blue Badge. The signs on display clearly state
that parking is for disabled patients and doctors only.
Please do not park on the gravel paths,
even for a brief period. This obstructs the footpath, risks a £200 fine,
and obstructs access to the nearby houses. This causes considerable annoyance
to our neighbours, who have to live with this problem every day.
Patients who deliberately ignore
these requests, or who cause difficulty to our neighbours, will not be welcome
at the practice.
Facilities include easy access for
wheelchairs and pushchairs.
